Night Gathering

Hundreds of small white circles and spirals press against a near-black ground, building a dense field of forms that read variously as stars, eyes, cells, or distant shoals turning together in the dark. The composition is mesmerising and slightly claustrophobic — a deliberate tension between the intimacy of each tiny stroke and the vastness of the dark holding them all.
This is a piece about the feeling of being awake at night, when thought multiplies on itself and every quiet idea seems to find another. It belongs to the same emotional register as the islands’ star-filled mountain skies — overwhelming, beautiful, and a little uncanny.
