Stars Over the Caldera

This painting is inspired by the famously dark night skies of La Palma — a designated Starlight Reserve, where the Milky Way looks dense enough to touch. White and pale-yellow points scatter unevenly across a deep blue-black ground, with brighter clusters forming a soft cascade rather than the orderly constellations of a chart.
The piece sits naturally next to Beata's existing Starry Night Above the Volcanoes, but takes the same subject from a quieter, more intimate angle — less the awe of the whole sky, more the small wonder of one section of it.
