Ghost Sail

This painting is inspired by the half-seen sails that drift across the Canary Islands' channels — small craft moving between Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and the smaller islets, often visible only as a pale triangle against grey water and grey sky. The composition is mostly atmosphere, with a single bright sail anchoring the eye against an otherwise muted, weather-thinned ground.
The piece carries a quietly maritime feeling — the islands' working sea, not their tourist one. Particularly good in rooms with neutral walls, where the bright sail can do its job.
