Wind Above the Atlantic

This painting is inspired by the wind-driven skies that sweep across the Canary Islands — the trade winds that shape the islands' weather, and the long, smeared cloudscapes they leave behind. The composition is almost entirely sky: gestural sweeps of blue, white, and warmer accents pulled diagonally across the surface, each stroke carrying its own sense of speed.
The piece is about energy that stays just out of reach — wind you can feel but never quite see. It pairs well with rooms that already have some movement: stairwells, kitchens, anywhere static would be too quiet.
